I just bought a new Nitro Z18 Pro. Got my insurance threw Progressive. Less than $400. All others were $550 and up for the same exact coverage.

Just got off the phone with United Marine and was politely told to F/O, its an Allison with a 300 we cant insure it!!!!!!!!! Adjuster made a comment that they wont insure an Allison. I asked (what motor would it need to have to insure) and he just smugly said they don't have anyone they can write an Allison to due to speed. So whats next for Bullet, Stroker, Ballistic, etc??? Anyone with a performance boat gonna play hell getting insurance??

Calling Bob at Worldwide to see what they say. State Farm will insure, at least for now?

contacted Bob and 5 days later still no quote. Being I got cancelled by progressive I ran out of time waiting and went with State Farm. $480 per year. Bob must have been busy.

I am with Bob at World Wide and I have agreed value of 85K. Don't undervalue your rig on the policy.

Go to another State Farm agent, don’t take your old policy paperwork with you. And just tell them what brand boat motor and things you want covered like rods reels and electronics. And see what price they give you. That sounds like someone is taking you to the bank. I moved here from Jersey back in 92. And insurance is 3 times cheaper in S.C.

Another thing, if your boat is worth $50,000 and you insure it for $90,000 and something happens to the boat, they are only giving you what it is worth.

Mine is insured to the blue book value, $30,000 I think. My understanding that's what they are going to give you anyway.

Unless you go with Agreed Value, or Replacement cost policy. Progressive offers this. No negotiating on total loss. They just pay you the agreed amount on the policy. And they DO pay. I totaled a boat in 2016. No issues at all.
