    Little help please

Just got a nitro Z 20 with two hummingbird helix 9’s,
headed out for the first time the other day and while on plane my depth was showing in the hundreds of feet deep ( like 700-800 ft ) when it was actually around 25 ft deep. It was fine when only idle speed , is this normal or is something wrong ? New to hummingbird, thx for any info

I would hope you had the shoot-thru transducer in the bilge hooked up. Your problem seems like you are running off the transom transducer.

My shoot thru did not do well on plane, after 30mph it was useless. But I have had them work just fine too.

Same here, I install a shoot thru and when I go faster than 30 mph, it goes blank.
I just install a transom mount transducer and hooked it into my Y-cable for depth while on plane.
