    520vs Built in setback

As you know the 2000 520vx has a built in setback however the motor is NOT adjustable.

What setback of an adjustable plate would you recommend being added to the 520vx? Is it possible to set it back too far? What have others used?

I am fairly sure a 6" plate is what Ranger recommended and you can loose performance with too much setback.

I have a 8" slidemaster, recommended by Ranger Dealer, I called Flippin, to confirm and they said yes. Really woke up my boat

    I have a 6" slidemaster, very happy with it. I have a 2000 520 as well.

I have a 8" Slidemaster on a 01 520VX and have been very happy with it. Just like Grumpy/LGF said it helped the performance of the boat.
