Eyra with 52" Ultrex

Thinking about swapping my 45" ultrex for a 52". I know this is an often debated topic, but what I'm looking for are pictures of how far the rod locker can open with a 52" ultrex. Does anyone have any pictures?

I don't have a picture but on my Puma it opens about half way. Not enough for the hinge to hold the door up, but plenty enough room to get a rod out while holding the door up.

Every model will be different and he Eyra should open, though not full stroke.

If I have my 52 inch pulled up high for shallow water it obstructs the lids a little bit. Just a little push on the head of the ultrex and the lid comes all the way open. It is not that big of an issue if you fish open water you want the length.

I like my 52 when it’s not in the shop. I used a friends 45 and I felt it was too short.
