What setting on Bob’s JP for takeoff?

Puma 2020 w/ 250 4 stroke. 24 pitch fury 3. Currently have it at 1 and it works but not nearly as good as some I’ve seen. Trim is at 0.

I have an Erya (same year and motor) and cannot remember the exact number. But I normally have it up high, then slowly move it down as the boat jumps up.

Raise it till it vents slightly and that is maximum for hole shot, then lower it for operation under power. This is exactly the opposite of most people’s thought process and applies to all boats no matter the brand in bass boats.

Best holeshot on my P2 was at halfway between 2 and 3. I could still get up fine with it lower or higher but that was the best.
