Optimax Single Tone Alarm goes off 30 seconds after startup, then alarm turns off

The single tone alarm is going off at approx 30 seconds after each start up whether the engine is cold or hot. Alarm stays on for about 5 seconds, then goes off.

Oil is full in both tanks. Water coming out of engine with no issues?

Any ideas on what is going on. Quick fix by myself?

    Thanks.

I have been doing some additional trouble shooting and find that the alarm goes off both when the motor is running or when the key is in the run position.

You have a sensor problem, an open circuit somewhere, or other fault. Make a careful VISUAL inspection for obvious items that are unplugged (such as sensor wires for the air compressor temp sensor), injectors, etc.

Other than that- you need to get it on the Computer Diagnostic System for PRINTOUTS of the RUN HISTORY and FREEZE FRAME (Fault) HISTORY. Those reports will contain information that can be used to accurately (and often quickly) address the problem.

If you had a Smartcraft Instrument/System in place, it would also be signaling some information when that fault is ACTIVE.
