    Fulton F2 Winch for RT188

As of late, I have been thinking of swapping out my winch with a Fulton F2. For those of you that put one on the RT188, which model F2 did you use and how much clearance do you have? I have one of the last Ranger made trailers from 2018 and not the EZ Loader.

I'm sure that has probably been discussed before, but I could not find anything in a search.

It is. On some ramps, the boat will hit the winch housing, but it's "clearanced" now, so no issues. Cranked all the way up, I can barely get the cover on between the winch and the keel.

Wow, that is a tight fit. I think I will go with the 1600 lb. model as it is shorter. The factory winch from Ranger is only rated at 1400 lb. so the 1600 should be fine. Does anybody have a photo of the 1600 lb. model on an RT188?

That would be my choice and will be plenty. That 2000 is a little too close for me. I have a 2000 on my Triton and its a big winch. I think skeeterbait had a 1600 lb on his rt it was still pretty close but nothing like that one if i recall. They are great winches tho worth the money.

I've got the 1600# wiinch and it is plenty, and definitely is not that close to the boat.
