I have a 03 zx 200. When I turn the steering wheel to the left I feel a bump in it as I turn. It feels like it's jumping gears but I know it is hydraulic not gear driven. It does it less when trim is up. No problem turning right. Have bleed air and checked hydraulic cylinder. Anyone else had this problem?
I had this problem a couple different times on my previous boat, a skeeter with sho...steering system has air in lines that need to be bled off. Fluid will possibly need refilled following that process. Was told by mechanic it could be dangerous if not corrected. I tried to correct myself but eventually had mechanic do it. He had some sort of pump system to help shortcut process.
There are many You tube video's on this and easy to do this and even change seals for Hyd steering.
