So...I have a question about your truck! What size engine and how does it do pulling that boat? I am looking at a new GMC and cannot decide between the 5.3 and the 6.2 engine.

    Thank you in advance!

I have the 5.3 in it and have no complaints at all. I think you will be fine with either engine. The 6.2 is a beast but I didnt see it beneficial to get considering the trim package you have to get to have the 6.2. I get about 12mpg towing and 17-18 unloaded. Plenty of power and pickup for what I need it to do.

I normally start looking at the boat trailer first to see how much thought was put into the design. I really like the big foot pads on that trailer, I'd likely add a pole and steps up front as well. At my age comfort is top priority. That is one sharp rig!

BTW: Admitting you only get 17-18 unloaded with a GM 5.3 is BBC blasphemy. Everyone knows that GM and Ford get 26 MPG and 16 pulling a 20' boat.

    Enjoy!!

There seems to have been a lot of thought put into the boat and trailer. It does have the steps on the front of the trailer but i did not get the added pole. I didn't like the way it looked sticking out. The steps work quite well from the big pad on the trailer tongue. I will take some more pics tonight.

Lol those are real life numbers! I work with Chevrolet and i have yet to see a 5.3 that gets 26mpg
