Best I can recall was $.79 gas and $.75 cigarettes.

My first old Ranger was a 1990 481V w/Yamaha ProV 150. Bought it used in 2008 for $5900, all original. The original owner left the bill of sale from North Jersey Marine in with the paperwork. If I recall, the price breakdown was $10,950 for the boat/trailer and $9900 for the motor.
A Harvey Boat! They were very good a rigging boats. Did it have the TM plate?

Paid $18K for a new ‘89 Champion 184 with a Merc 175. Still have it. And flashers? I found the power cable for my Super 60 the other day while setting up stuff on my son’s boat. Tested it on a battery and it spins OK.

The 300 series Ranger owners love their boats. There are at least two groups of 300 owners on Facebook. It’s really amazing to see some of the restorations and modifications. A lot of owners don’t care about the value of an old boat. I’ve seen a lot of them re powered with new engines, latest trolling motors and high dollar electronics. I have a restored 87 320V that I absolutely love. Also have a 2018 Ranger I’m selling. That’s another story.

I paid 4K for my 1990 361V in 2004, sold it in 2014 for 6K. Granted I put more than 2K into it, new carpet and vinyl, had the gelcoat redone, new TM and electronics.

I dont feel that old but remember gas at .39 cents a gallon . Pack of smokes was .25 cents in machines.
New cars were less than 2,000 bucks
Monarch was the only real bass boat out there.

Oh.... I agree, crazy. I'm the second owner and paid the remainder of what the original owner owed the bank. 18 year old kid without a driver's license buys a brand new boat with a 15 year loan and pays for almost 12 years and then stops paying. Bank actually came to his house and get the boat but I made a deal with the bank and him and everyone ended up winning. This was over 20 years ago. I have all the original paperwork and couldn't believe what he was going to pay back in finance charges but in truth, I believe the bank did better in the sale of this boat than the Wood family.

I remember my Dad gave me a dollar to get McDonald's cheeseburger, hot fudge Sunday and a gallon of gas. It was 1977 and we had just moved to Canada.

Can remember when you could sleep in your home with windows open and doors unlocked. Can remember when movies were 25 cents at the theater. Can remember when people communicated face to face and not by cell phones or internet...LOL

I remember nickle movies on Saturday matinee, when television was only black and white, and not many people had television. A pack of Lucky Strikes had two pennies in the wrapper. And when everything at McDonald's was, 15 cents.

Per gallon, or per litre (I even used the appropriate spelling)?

I’m so old I can remember the bookmobile being horse drawn

I can remember the milk man delivery being a horse drawn wagon, along with the iceman. And yes, gas was $.15 a gallon when I was a kid.

    I purchased a new Champion in 1988 with a 150 Mercury XR4 loaded for $15,000.

I still have the build sheet on my 1999 Javelin. The boat is 18'9" and came with a 150 Ficht. If my memory is correct the add on options were diamond plate on the trailer, a three bank battery charger and a butt seat with a power pedestal. If my memory is correct the paperwork says the boat was sold in February 1999 and the cost was just a few $ over 22K. I bought it in December 2001 with 62 hours and gave 15,200 if my memory is correct. Now days a 18 ft boat with a 150 and standard options is 32-35K or more.
