Watching that truck driving kid made me think about this , can you drive a stick shift without tearing it up ? I have always had manual transmissions in sports cars and work trucks so I have no problems .

I learned how to drive in the mid 60s in a 1945 Willy's jeep.

Yes, although been awhile since i drive 1500 size trucks.
With the traffic around here most days it lost its fun factor anyway.

Know what to do but the neuropathy in my left leg means I can't do justice to a muscle car
Yep, funny that they are standard equipment anymore.

Psalm 29:3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.
Learned to drive on one and had them for many years. It’s been a little bit though.
Grew up and learned on a 1964 Chevy C10 with "three on the tree." My first new truck I ever bought off a car lot was an 86 with a three speed and a granny gear. Gave it all up with my youth.

One of the reasons I like the simplicity of riding.
It’s like riding a bike...
Drive one daily, stock 1991 Honda CRX Si. Great little car for the daily commute.
Yes most any type of manual transmission. I am sure there are types I have not seen but I bet I could learn them in a day or 2.

Yes
Bought a little Honda Civic manual a few years ago just to run here and there. Took awhile to get back used to shifting, left leg would cramp every now and then. Grew up driving grain trucks.
Can still drive with a manual trans, but it would't be smooth at first cause I haven't owned a manual in years. Made all of my kids learn on a manual.
Yes... So can the wife and my 4 kids... Dan
Yes,,
Yep. Still have a manual Ford Ranger.
Yes, I too learned on a 69 C-10 with 3 speed on the column. Owned 3 Ford trucks through 2000 , all sticks. Just acquired a mint 1961 Willys CJ3B that brings it all back.
Yes and wish I you still had the option on new trucks. I'd trade mine in a heart beat for a manual.
