    Cayuga next week

I'm heading to Cayuga next week. Booked a place thru AirBnB on the lake. My VRBO rental cancelled on me.
I used to have a camper on DeerLick Springs Road for years. Just started return trips the past few. Plan on bringing everything we need. Only reason to leave the house is fishing and gas.
Any reports on lake conditions would be appreciated. Are the smallies bedding? Largemouths?

I haven’t checked cayuga but about a week and a half ago a small lake only saw surface temps in the high 40s. This week we’ve had days below freezing with some snow too so it wouldn’t have helped the temps at all. Next week it’s supposed to be in the 70s so it should spark a good move. All this to say I doubt the bass are on beds right now the temps are about 5-10deg lower than what they normally are this time of year. But with next weeks warm weather, I bet you’ll see a small first wave of spawners moving up.

Was out today, water temps still 43-50 depending on where you are. We caught our fish all in the north end, 6-8fow. Plenty of pickerel in the lake if you wanna catch those, prolly got a few of my lures in their mouth too.

Anyone know if the Union Springs launch charges a fee? If they do how much is it? I am planning on launching there this weekend.

It was great. Te grass wasn't up as well as previous springs. But if you found grass, you found bass. North end of the lake was where it was at. Biggest fish was a 7#12oz. largemouth my buddy got.
