Prop Help with Triton 190 FS w/ Yamaha 150 VMAX Carb.

I have a Triton 190 FS with a Yamaha 150 VMAX Carb. I just recently got this rig and trying to get it setup. Previous owner just ran it the way it was. The prop is a Yamaha 19m, which seems to be low pitch. The problem is, I can tell the prop was damaged and repaired. H&H is etched on the prop. No vibration, good bite, lift and hole shot. 49mph gps @ 5700 RPM, no jack plate, prop shaft 7” below pad, water 25-30 psi.
I added 8” rapid jack and raised motor to 5.25 below pad/2.75 above transom. Set back is 30” from pad. Top of Water intake is even with pad. Overall handling is better but no change to RPM and Speed and water pressure still 25-30psi with trim all the way up. I have hit 5900rpm, but not constantly. I’m noticing a little slip in tight turns now. The jack plate is all the way up. I can raise the motor 2 holes. I’m wondering if the prop may have been pitched up already. What pitch do these rigs usually run (if you have this setup). I would like to put a Trophy+, but not knowing for sure what I am running now makes it hard to decide. Also the fact that not much changed after adding plate and raising motor has me puzzled. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you are slipping in turns, Why would you think you can go up higher with this prop? Not sure if the picture just makes the prop look bad, Or if it actually is.

Yes, the prop is bad and I’m definitely going to change it, but considering the damage and the work that’s been done to it, I’m not sure what pitch to try. I was hoping that someone would have this setup and give me some info on there setup. My whole point is that I’ve made some big changes but saw very little difference. I’ve been told that 4” to 4.5” below pad is a good starting point, but considering where I’m at now, that seems as though it would be too much height. My experience has been with traditional bass boats. This is my first fish and ski. Thanks for the reply!

I should add, the person I bought the boat from passed away so I wasn’t able to find what the deal was with this prop.

I’d try a 21p tempest plus if you have access to one. You will need the correct hub kit for your motor

Thanks. I am familiar with the hub kits. I’ll try to locate one.

I was able to barrow a Mirage Plus 21p and got some good numbers. Hole shot was good at 3800rpm, 4500rpm 42.5mph, wot 5500rpm 52.5mph. Full Trim, fishing gear, full live well and 1/4 fuel. With empty live well 54.5 @ 5550. I did also run a Turbo TXP OT4 25p. Hole shot a little sluggish, wot 52.1 @ 4900. Looking at the slip and rpm reduction, I suspect the turbo was likely pitch down to a 24p. I guy indicated it may have been worked. What do you think the difference would be between a tempest + and trophy +.

The Tempest prop has more bow lift that a 19+ft boat with a 150 needs....

I still haven’t been able to get my hands on a Tempest + but I did get to try a 21 Trophy +. With solid plugs, hole shot was slow and spun up to 5200. WOT was 5700 rpm @ 50.5Mph. The 21p Mirage + is 5500rpm @ 52.5mph. I thought the Trophy + would have much better bite on the hole shot and was surprised at the WOT rpm. I may have to just buy a Tempest since I can’t find one to try. Should I still try a 21p or should I try a 23p. Is it normal for a Mirage to run 200 less rpm than a Trophy?

    What does >3 mean?

On the 21P is >3. Any Idea what this means? This is a 21p Mirage plus. Good hole shot @3800 rpm and WOT 5500 RPM. 21p Trophy plus with solid plugs 5000+ on hole shot and turns WOT 5750rpm. The Trophy appears to be the only one that is stock.
