Talk about bow high, how far below the waterline does that put your transom?

I knew it was a joke. Doubt your transom could handle that PLUS a 150hp for very long. Isn't that boat rated for a 115 or was it like the 175 from about that time and rated for higher hp for a year or two?

The joke was understood... Since this thread was about Trackers being bow high at rest, I suspect having the motor 3' behind the transom would not only raise the bow even higher, the back deck would likely be wet as well.

She is rated for 135. Which is exact same as a 150, just detuned.

Having owned a Ranger RT188 and now a Tracker I will attest to the fact that the Tracker rides better under way from the outboard, way better. Having said that I would take my Ranger with the 70# Edge TM over my current Tracker with an 80# I5 motorguide any day. The Ranger fishes better, the Tracker rides better. I would fish either in 15-20 as here in N. Texas all the F'ing wind does is blow, so if you don't like wind you would never fish.

The lake I fish mostly seems to always be rolling since it's literally built in a wind tunnel in the mountains. This is what pushed me over to the Tracker I bought over the Crestliner/Ranger/Triton with similar specs. I look across the lake all the time at slap happy boats and think (glad I'm not in that one). It's not how much a boat moves while underway in my opinion. It's how soft the landing is that matters.
