I love the Indian Prairie area but when it's low you can tear some stuff up.

I think the trick is to not traverse the channel itself... there are dredge piles from Indian Prairie channel going out 1/2 mile into the lake! I just measured the distance of the piles with google earth at exactly .51 miles from the exit.

Yes.... but you don't want to set down out in front of it.... either set down in it or run out into the lake before turning north and running up the shoal...

My boat runs pretty shallow. I can tell you running out of Harney Pond this weekend they have PVC poles to mark the channel. I have tons of old GPS marks for when it was low to run from sportsmans out. I had to get out and push twice. It sure seems lower then what they are saying.

11.80 and I could run it just fine. Can't set down, but with the JP raised I didn't hit bottom.

    Its now at 11.97.

A guy in my club recently took the wrong turn and had to pay an airboat $900 to get towed out, so I wouldn't recommend trying it blind. Have someone show you the path.
