Now if the weather would only cooperate. It looks like the middle of next week should be friendly weather-wise ... so again, we will pencil it in on the calendar. We are informed that the ramp at MacArthur Park is open ... and we should be able to get in at the Spring Lake ramp. There are a couple of places where they offer a carry out breakfast, lunch, and dinner ... other than McDonalds. After staying in for so many weeks it would be really nice to have a couple of days of sun & fun ....

It seems like Spring Lake can't get any lower! And they were just sure of more big time flooding this year!

I was in the lake a couple days ago stirring up mud with the trolling motor everywhere I went. What a change from last year. Saw some grass and pads starting to grow. Maybe the low water will get a lot of good grass growth this year.

So ... do I go try the holes in Spring? Get up in the stalks? Will I ever get back on plane? So many questions....... I am getting too old for the push pole.

It was definitely a change fishing spring lake in May without the river being at flood stage.
