Help on How to take apart 920 dash shroud

The search function isn’t working for me . I am taking off the lowrance at the console and putting in a hbird.

    couple of questions

1.do I have to take off all the screws to take the shroud off?
2.How do I get the little black caps off without breaking em?
    3. After I take the dash off do I have to take off the power shroud or will I have access to what I need ?

I usually find some reason to take mine off at least 3 or 4 times a year

Whelp. Found out they are hinged . Small flat head and some patience pops em off. Changing electronic brands and I’m gonna go on a limb and say Phoenix puts on the top cap after they install alllllll electronics! Kinda sucks to take out old electronics and now i can’t take out a lowrance transducer mounted at the transom without cutting the cord because i cant fit the input between the top cap and hull! What the heck Phoenix?! I removed as much rubber caulk as I could and it’s still not nearly the room needed to remove the plug :(

I would just leave the lowrance stuff in the hull and pull
your new brand and install the puck next to it. Plenty of room for multiple transducers.

There’s a adapter from I believe motor guide that will work to use the Lowrance through hull ducer on a humminbird. Prob won’t get chirp. Def look into that before you go cutting cords!!! Then all you have to do is run the SS.

It will pull thru eventually. Mine got stuck right at the shifter and I had to take that off in order to get my hand in to get the connecter un-stuck. New one pulled thru just fine. I also took out the switch panel for better access.....
