    Switch question

    How do you bench test a #7778A12 mercury switch box

    I swap it to another group of cylinders, and check results (spark test/read plugs).

    I put my meter on 20k ohms and I get a 14.00 is this good or bad

    What test (from the Mercury Service Manual) are you performing?

    There is no published meter test for this switch box. I think yamaha has a test spec sheet for theirs but not Merc.

    +1 process of elimination test all else replace boxes in pairs
