Question New motor what prop on my 20xf

So I'm putting a new 4 stroke 150 proxs on my 20 xf bullet ..... I was wondering what prop would be the best for top end but also for getting out of the hole. Anybody done some type of combination like this?

23P Tempest plus would be my first try on a 3 blade. 22-24P Bravo1 or Marks Razor4 XL in a 4 blade.

so I ran 1.5 inches below pad gets up on plane like a champ....... but top end was not what i wanted at 5900 rpms only doing 58 do I come up some more..... how much is too much to come up? not sure if this is what i should be topping off at or not... couldn't play with it much as I'm still in break in mode so I couldn't go up for about a minute.......every 10 minutes......

What are you expecting? A 20 ft boat with a 150 is not going to be much faster. Depending on load is critical for top end.

You didn't mention what prop you ran.

Sorry a 25p Bravo F/S I was hoping to get around 65 out of it at top end which is not much for from where i'm at.... just need to decided which way to adjust. This was the prop that tom at bullet recommended starting with........Just didn't know at 1.5 inches under if I should go up or down or if that the best I have......I know the quick answer is to try both.....

A good 25p Tempest plus should be faster if you are looking for more speed.

Every boat/motor/prop combo will run best at different heights... Trial and error is the best way to dial it in.

I would try a 24 or 26 pitch OMC Srx. Great props. I ran one on my 20xd in 1994 with Mercury 150.

Things may be different with a 150, but for most motors on a 20xf 1.5" below is too low. I would try coming up some.
