    Megabass 110 +.hooks??

How can you manufacture a $21 dollar jerkbait..great product, love the action. HOWEVER, the cheap hooks devalue the product, these things bend like pan fish hooks..A 3lb smallie, had to straighten middle and back treble..next fish 3 lb Coho Salmon broke two shanks off of middle treble..Anyone else had this problem??

Where can you buy them for $21?!?!

I swap out the hardware before I fish. Hyper wire rings and #6 Gamakatsu hooks. It ends up being a $30 bait for me...

^^ That! They're thin wire hooks, set your drag accordingly.

The stock hooks are super sticky and penetrate like nothing I've ever seen. Lite drag and DON'T HORSE THE FISH.

I throw my 110's on 7# line most often. The baits are tuned for light line and are intended to be fished that way. The stock hooks are extremely high quality, sharp, and effective if fished according to the intended design. Like the other guys said, they aren't intended for heavier lines and horsing fish in with stout rods... there are plenty of other jerk baits on the market that are good for that style.

I love the stock hooks. Yes you have to be carefull with them once the fish is hooked but I fell they hook way more fish that roll on the bait or don't fully commit to the bite. You breath on these hooks when they are sharp and they stick.

dude...you need elite pro lessons...gotta take at least 6 minutes and 5 circles around the boat to land a fish.

Yep...I get away with 12 and a destroyer 110 special...I do bend a hook occasionally, but keep replacements in the boat.

Also I find most my hooks get damaged during the unhooking process with pliers or by toothy critters.

I just got my first batch of 110’s. I went to retie and as I was standing next to the console I went to make a cast and the lure hit my but seat on the way out. When I reeled in the 110 there was only the front half, the back half was stuck to the but seat, hooks bit in and lure broke in half. After a few cuss words I tied on another one and continued. The only fish I ended up catching was a rainbow trout on it.
