I need help! Difficulty getting on plane.

I have a 19' Sprint 297 Pro. I have a 2001 Mercury 200HP (Non EFI) . It has never been amazing fast to get up but since I put trolling thunders and powerpoles on, it struggles. like 6-8 seconds. I know the guy before me has messed with the jackplate and didnt know squat about what he was doing. Where should I start on the prop/pad adjustment? Its the factory tempest 23P prop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So is it a carbed motor or a optimax, though a optimax is also a EFI
    Gear ratio?
    rev limiter is?
What is the rpm and top speed, GPS for speed and digital tach or smartcraft for RPM? example(68 mph @ 5800)
What is the RPM just before the bow starts to drop during holeshot?
    Thank You Leon Pugh

You should not be having a problem with a 23 pitch tempest . You might be to deep . Set it up at 3.5 below the pad center of the prop shaft . If you have plugs in the prop take one out at a time .

Not sure about the term I thought a cavitation plate is the flat plate above the prop. Anyway why asked I have heard of some being mounted low and dragging during the hole shot.

Check this link. I have one of these on my Shadow running 1.5" above pad. Night and day with it. Never taking it off. Huge Difference.

How many batteries do you have in it now and what size? Just the adding the Poles usually requires you to drop down 1" in pitch.
