We'll be reducing the size of the ads and the jury's still out if I keep them. We get over 10 million page views per month and the ads should produce a lot of revenue and we've not
increased our advertising rates to our sponsors for 14 years.
Just started them midway through yesterday and the numbers aren't there so we'll see if they stay or not.
I have no problem looking past them ... it's a pop-up world with ads and banners everywhere.

I have no problem with ads long as they don’t impede the flow of viewing post. I pay $10/year to access The Hull Truth ad free and would do the same here.

I dont mind em on the sideline. Bit i dont like that when i click someone attachment i get a full screen pop up for facebook. On every attachment. Makes it frustrating to view pics. Just sayin.
I don't understand what you mean. First of all there are no popups, the ads are only after the first post in a thread (and 2 vertical ads below the Side banner ads). There's no ad when you click on photo(s) that someone has posted.
