    Football jig blank?

Looking to build a rod similar to the NRX 873crr. What are the best blanks?

North Fork Composites MB 736 X ray would be the blank I'd go with.

Will it handle 3/4 oz jigs with trailer?

I haven't thrown anything that big with the rods I have built on the MB 736 blank, so it's hard for me to say. Also I don't know what kind of power you like in a rod, and I have zero experience with the NRX 873 crr that you mentioned. Personally, I throw 3/8 and 1/2 oz football jigs with the rods I built on the blank, and it handles them fine.

I built a jig for on a St Croix 5 mhf and it's on my deck all the time. It can handle 3/8 oz up to 1oz. It's my favorite rod I have ever built
