    Herrington Lake?

Bass fishing on Herrington? Never fished Herrington but interested in an option for the area.
Made too many trips to Cedar Creek Lake with marginal (or less) performance.

Was there yesterday - not fishing. Seen lots of shad spawn around the docks.
Tough bass fishing mostly. A lot of night fishing seems to take place there.

Herrington has been fishing really well the past couple of years.

Thanks for the relies! Looks like we are going to make a trip next week. Thursday, pending weather.
Can you advise the best launch ramp, coming from Lexington?

Chimney Rock or Pandora there is a $10 launch fee at both. Watch out for floaters. When I was there a few weeks ago there was some trash floating.

We fished Herrington 1/2 day yesterday. Six largemouth and 3 stripers. The banks and a small point. The bass were 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 on plastics. Stripers were 3, 5, and 7 lbs on swim bait.

AJ, you certainly right on floaters and trash. I've never been on a lake with that much trash. Wow!

Vic, sounds like a decent trip for your first time there. Thanks for the follow up to let us know how you did. If it rains that lake trashes up quick major down side with that place.

Was on the lake several years ago when you couldn’t get on plane for the trash. Worst I’ve seen anywhere for that long a stretch.
