    1980 trailer coating peeling

So I just picked up my new avx1980 this Saturday and we drove down to lake Havasu for the week to break it in. Well the trailer brakes locked up when I tried back in to the garage. No biggie found a loose connection inside the swing away tounge. Got that fixed. But found on the underside by the winch the coating peeling up. Not very happy to say the least.

I"m sure they will take care of you but is the bottom of the trailer on the other side doing the same thing? I wonder if the trailer coating wasn't fully cured when the damge happened?

I think the one under the trailer happens during transport. Mine had it to.

I'm out on Havasu right now and I will say this. This boat is everything people have been saying it is!

That sucks. And that type of coating is a total PITA to repair and look good too. If thats how they loading and unloading the trailers they need to change their approach i would be pissed if mine had that. Notice its already got surface rust on it too. Reminds me alot of the early Ranger aluminum boat trailers. My cousin had one and it did the same thing and it just kept peeling and peeling from there. Pay no attention to the broken stand that was a chronic problem too lol. I notice the vexus trailers are built very similar to those in that area. We were looking at a 1980 at the last boat show around here and it already had the trailer finish bubbling up around the winch stand too. Brand new boat.

My 2015 triton trailer is peeling off the entire fender. Dealer basically told me to go pound sand it’s out of warranty.

Also look for rock chips on the fenders. I am going to have mine wrapped this winter.

Looks like the winch support moved and the paint peeled. The Clamps do not look like the are evenly aligned.
Make sure they are tight. You don't want that moving along with your boat.

Is that how theyre being transported? Seems like i saw them on a transport truck a few weeks ago just sitting on metal blocks straight to the trailer on the transport truck
