    Is this considered going overboard ?

    I remove my trailer fenders to clean the section of the boat blocked by the fenders others must do it I can't be the only ocd dude

    As a fellow OCD type, I understand completely... wish it was easier to remove them from my Ranger.

    I've had mine off several times. I had to work on those junky screws holding the plastic fender wells in. Completely re-done that mess, no more carpet or screws.

    I probably am going to remove them to change out the screws.

    Do yourself a favor and replace them with #8 flute head bolts, lock washers, and Teflon lock nuts.

    I googled #8 flute head bolt and didn't come up with something that makes sense. Please post what you mean.

    Get some snorkeling gear... When the water warms up take a swim and clean the whole thing... Even allows you to check the hull for scratches... Dan

    Starboard and SS hardware counter sunk with lock nuts...no more carpet or fastener hardware issues.
