    Birds of our fine state.

I have never thought of myself as a birding enthusiast, but my wife tries. She has managed to get enough hummingbirds to return every year that we go through 2 gallons of H-bird food a day during the peak of the season. Now we have managed to attract about 20 of the male Blue Buntings and their mates on an annual basis. Then these others started showing up yesterday. They call them a Texas Painted Buntings. Looks like a pet store escapee to me.

Cool stills and video. Definitely haven't observed any buntings around here. We have a few hummingbirds on our feeder, but it's a 20 oz. and empties once per week, tops. Man, 2 gallons per day? They're drinking that stuff the way I down unsweet tea.
