    Any issues installing a Remote drain plug

    Been thinking about doing this for a while.
    is there any issues on installing a Remote drain plug on our BCB boats

    It’s been done, though we don’t really have a desire for that part. Most really like it for ease of use.

    keep in mind that you would be removing a high quality, all metal drain plug.

    My dad has one of those on his Ranger. He took it back to the dealer for the 3rd time this week because it keeps leaking.

    Just curious, what are BCB's concerns with a remote drain plug?

    I think anybody's main complaint is, if it fails on the water, you are pretty much done. You can carry a spare drain plug if you use those.

    I'm only aware of one person that used one (Ranger). It took too much fiddling to get it to seal right. I'm 72 and I have no problems bending over and screwing the drain plug tight, personally.

    I like to K.I.S.S. Adding another point of failure to fix a problem that is very minor seems like a less than optimal path...

    I don't think I would trust one of those. Its a pain to get down under my Caracal and take the plug out for certain. However, I seldom ever pull the plug so its no big deal to me.
