    Pelican Bass Raider Reassembly

New angler from Chesapeake, Va here. Bought a USED pelican bass boat and have realized the foam is saturated. Was able to acquire modified replacement foam and am in the process of reassembling the boat.

Does anyone know the adhesive and/or sealant that is used to adhere the top and bottom pieces of the pelican bass raider back together? The same adhesive/sealant is used inside the black gasket strip the seals around the two parts at the seam. Then they are riveted back together.

I have done much research on this and most folks recommend 3M 5200 marine adhesive sealant. I just would like to try and match the original substance if possible because it is extremely sticky yet flexible. Almost remind me of the material inside car door panels that hold the plastic onto the metal.

It's probably Plexus which is a mastic/glue like what you're talking about. 5200 works too.

Put your post in the "restoration" forum and you'll get a lot more replies, too
