Well maybe you shouldn't be such a dumbass. OP specifically asked about Loomis rods.

Just curious how did the Dobyns 795 perform ?

I get it. Either you're illiterate, or you just like to hear yourself talk. Either way, you did nothing to answer the guys question.

The FPR GLXs are, in fact, specifically made for punching.....And they fish much heavier than their lure weight rating. For the 894/954 to be rated at 1oz./the same as an MBR 844 is a joke and a huge miss on their part...it is an antiquated process at best....where basically all bottom contact 4-powers are rated to 1 oz...

I left loomis flipping sticks when they went to split grip, the old 954 recoil guide could for sure handle 1 1/2 oz plus plastic.Always felt the 894 again this is the old recoil guide one...never was heavy enough for 1 1/2 oz plus bait.

Yeah, and at one point Chrysler owned Lamborghini. You never heard anyone recommend a Daytona when someone asked about buying a Lamborghini. Stow it already.

It was an awesome rod, but I broke two of them. Moving on from them now.

NRX 916 vs. BCFR 894 glx recoil guides. Who wins the punching showdown performance wise not only brute strength. Most ideal action for not blowing larger weights and avoiding hook tears causing loss fish

I've yet to hold the 916 in hand. But have fished the BCFR 894
