Fishing at the Golf Course Thursday

Went to warm up for an extended session Thursday since I hadn’t played in a week. Range closed-too muddy.
Luckily I had gear in the Truck.
Went down to the big lake entrance where overflow comes in and caught 10 in about an hour. 5 crappie and 5 bass.
Teed off. 47 on front on wet course cart path only. Took my rod to the 16th tee and caught 3 in3 casts after everyone teed off.
    I caught up later.
Then after completing a stellar 91, I caught 7 more around the 18th green.
Called grandson No. 3 to see if he wanted to chase some fish.
He caught 19 and had a ball. He stayed past dinner time which was a strong showing from a growing boy who likes his steak!
I caught 20 to keep my king of the pond title and 60 fish total for the day.
Fishing was much better than golf.
I will be double dipping every time I golf now till the fish get smart or it gets too hot.
    Got my boat back yesterday!
Taking two friends out today to try and catch crappie.

Crappie fishing was off. Caught 2. But caught lots of bass, sunfish, drum, white bass, and a turtle!
Had fun with friends and lots of laughs catching up.

I won a round for a foursome there earlier this year at a jenks school event . I've been waiting for the grass to turn green ,

Good for you. You better wait some more. It looks green from a distance but it is very thin.
If you go, take your rod and some shallow water baits.
Course is in great shape though. Greens have been receiving some better treatment over the last year.
Watch out for ticks if you get into the rougher areas that have been cut some.
Had one bite me and got infected quick. Sent me to the urgent care to get a round of 2 different antibiotics.

I always wanted to put a 2 piece rod in the bag maybe with a spinner bait for all the ponds on courses. Just never enough time to throw a cast in between shots or trying to get my ball out of the pond.
