That should be a good starting point for a prop you will have to play with the vents to adjust the hole shot you want. I would start about 3-1/2" p2p.

Took it out today. 58 mph at 6000 rpm. Good hole shot.

3 batteries, 2 people approx 475 lbs total. And 10 gallons of gas. Leave it alone, or is there more to be had?

I think their is some rpms/ a little more speed left to get but I'm not 100% what the max rpms are for your motor. Probably be a Pat question.

According to my manual, 5300 - 5800. However I've had several people tell me to keep it below 6300 and it's good.

5300 to 5800 by the book, but 6000 to 6300 to run best, (per Mercury class) Those 2.4 200 hp motors run best propped in the 6000 to 6400 range. And fiber reeds really wake up a 2.4 motor. A 24" Bravo, 23" Trophy, and for some strange reason a 23" or 25" High 5 run really well on that boat.(large tube)

if im turning the 21p revolution 4 to 6000 rpm, do you think id be able to keep a 23 trophy or 24 bravo around that, or should i drop down to the 5800 rpm range?

update - raised jackplate to 2.75 below pad. 21p mercury revolution. 6400 rpm, 61 mph. great hole shot, stays on plane down to 3100 rpm. rooster tail is about midways up the motor. 25 psi of water. keep rising or leave it alone? I do believe i need a bit more prop.

with these numbers, same props recommended? 3 or 4 blade?

I did try my Solas 25p 4 blade, but its too much wheel, wouldnt plane out and 2200 rpm. probably needs venting.

Tried a turbo 23p 3 blade today. Good holeshot, 6100 rpm max, but I lost 2 mph. I may look for a 23p revolution 4 and call it good.

Did you get a chance to try a 23"p Trophy Plus small hub?
I run a 26"p Spring and 25"p Summer Trophy + worked by Croxton 10" JP at 2 7/8" p2p on my 02 Cobra 03 Mercury 225 EFI worked, and they both run strong and jump right out.

I tried one yesterday. It spun to 5000 rpm on hole shot no matter how I had the vents oriented. It topped out at 6400 rpm and 59 mph.

I put the 23p turbo back on (i believe its been worked to a 24), and fiddled around with jackplate height and was able to get 63.9 mph at 6200 rpm at 3 1/8" below pad. I believe I'm going to make this my primary prop, and keep the 21p Rev 4 for a heavy load/rough water prop.

I'm thinking this is about the max for my setup. Agree? Disagree?

    Josh,
Take whatever prop you do decide on as final, and send it to Mark Croxton for balance and blueprint. Be sure to send all your boat details and what prop details on how it is running with your current set up. It will be worth your money and time in the end to know that you have done everything in your power to get your best results.

Been a while since I’ve Had a procraft but back then those hulls liked the tempest props. 23 or 24 would give you the lift that hull needs. The A45’s would be the best prop but they were discontinued and the A48 was the replacement I believe.

Does the tempest turn about the same rpm per pitch as a trophy

Tempest Plus will turn somewhere between 250-350 RPMs more than a 4 blades prop, since it is a 3 blade. It will give you a little more speed, but will not handle as friendly as a 4 blades Trophy plus.
Unless you are looking to squeeze out every mph, I would stay with the 4 blades, since it is a bass rig not a speed boat.
