    Multi use rod rec's?

Looking for something to throw buzzbaits, horney toads, whoppoer plopper, occasional swim jig. Would be great to use for the rare times I throw a Carolina rig also. Thoughts? Trying to consolidate some rods. Currently use a combination of a GLX 844 and Tatula AGS heavy Monroe for those applications. ALX toadface? 904 MBR Conquest? 903 MBR Conquest? Something in the Dobyns Champ lineup?

"3" power in the Dobyns lineup. 703, or 733.

735 should be exactly what you're looking for

I'll split the difference ans say a Champion 734. I do fish 1/4 ounce swim jigs on a Champion 703 or a new Kaden 713 but I think they would be too light for the buzzbaits or horny toad. I use the 734 for my chatterbait rod but they would also do the things you are looking for.

If you are looking at ALX rods, and you're also looking at some other higher end stuff, as much love as the Toadface gets, the new 2020 ENOX line up has a rod called the BMJ that deserves more attention. It's built on a high quality Toray graphite and I have really been enjoying this rod, along with its longer sibling, the LSB. The BMJ is a step up from the Toadface in terms of blank crispness, sensitivity, and still has loads of versatility. Taking nothing away from the Toadface, it's a fantastic rod, but the BMJ steps it up a notch as far as I'm concerned.
