    It is a piggy, greasy job no matter the outside temp but the difference in steering is pretty sweet. Did you use the 3 turn helm or the 4.2?
    You probably know this but with the NFB helm you do not need to block your engine to keep it from moving side to side while trailering.

    I used the 3 turn , like I had in my Ranger Cherokee . It is a "little " tight, but better than is was . " Look Ma , No Hands "! . I will still the transom saver, always have and always will .

    I still use a transom saver as well. When I say no need to block your engine I mean preventing the engine from moving side to side while trailering. With a regular helm the engine can turn itself left or right while towing. The clutch mechanism in the NFB Helm prevents this movement.

    Took up it up to Maine yesterday , ran great ,.. no more fighting the wheel. Feel a lot safer . At least my does not look like one Arnold Schwarzenegger 's after a day on boat . ��

    What length cables did you order? I’ve got a 2005 PT175 w/50 hp Merc I need to change the steering. I came up with 12’ cables based on their instruction online.
