There will be a lot of boat traffic that time of year. Fishing early and going in when traffic picks up is what I do. Or going out in evening. Fishing is the best that time of year but can still catch fish. Some creeks and coves will be fine and won't even notice the traffic, other will be horrible. But that is a great time of year to be on the water at Gaston.

Traffic will be bad mid day. Makes off shore and dock fishing tough on you. Fish don't care. The further up lake the more fish will be bank related , there fore eaiser for you to not get run over.
Weekends are tough, go early and late, Weekdays are great, you might be the only one out!

Mike and Flash nailed it. Some weeks are insane, others not so bad during the week. Weekends, it’s a circus.
During that time of year I fish from 6:00am to about 10:00am go back to the house eat a big breakfast. Then go tubing/wakeboarding with the kids or cruise around in the pontoon with the ladies. Then at about 5:00pm go back fishing till dark (this is the best time). Busy days for sure but love every second of it.

Be very careful running on the lake at night in the summer. Seems like there is always some idiot out there with no lights on. I've seen pontoons, bass boats and kayaks with no
lights well after dark.
