Team partner and I went over to Lake Sara yesterday (04/21/20). Water temps were 51-54 with about 1' visibility on West end and 2' visibility on the East end near the dam.
There was a stiff North wind all day and it made fish'n pretty tough. We fished from 0800-1330 and caught 2 keepers that were both around 3 lb range and about a dozen short fish, as well as a few unintended White Bass and Crappie. One keeper bit a swim jig and the other bit a square bill and a lot of the short fish bit a lipless crank.
Lake Sara is up and running during the lockdown. Lake permits ARE still required. I dumped in at Pinky's and the ramp fee is still $5.00.
