so how is everyone's older chargers holding up?
so how is everyone's older chargers holding up?
Mine is great but after looking at Mikes mine is a old wore out turd
So what kind of things have you had to repair or replace over the years?
Can't think of anything that Charger built that had to be repaired. Things wore out and had to be replaced. Last Charger broke a leaf spring on the trailer after 12+ years of abuse.
My trailer is a 2000 still has original bunk boards and carpet. The boat has had new carpet twice and new seats once but we do use it 300 days or more a year and kids tube with it all summer long almost every day so it gets a work out and yes the opti is still kicking after all these years
I have a 2001 model 195TF. The only thing I had to do to the boat is replace the lid shocks and the seat pedestals. I had to have the axle straightened on the trailer and replace a set of lights. I wish the 200 HP Merc was as trouble free as the boat.
Dang TOC how many hours you have on that there Mercury? Where did you get the seats?
I haven’t had to repair anything that Charger made on my 2001 496. Everything is original including the 225 Yamaha.
my oem ranger charger lost a bank over the winter. the new minnkota precision goes in this weekend. I'm saving 17lbs by getting rid of the old one.

Fury 3 22P True Pitched | Power Pole Pro 2's | Ghost TM | Mega 360 | MEGA LIVE | Atlas 8in Jack Plate | Trick Step | 3X Amped 80ah Lithiums
2006 had to replace the plastic black trim peice on the transom, cracked. Some of the bubble trim has separated, and the plastic dash panel where the gauges go was starting to crack, and the three bank charger lost a bank last year.
It’s got to have in the 2000 hour range we have definitely used it ALOT!I thought about getting a new 300 but with all the problems guys have with new motors maybe I’ll wait for this one to die which maybe never.
What issues with the ner Merc??
Haven’t heard much on the v8 yet but every one with a pro xs 2 stroke seems like it been replaced 2 times
I almost forgot had to replace the bunks two years ago
My old 1992 195 I sold is still going strong, that was a great boat. The 2008 POS 396 I don't know what happen to it, the guy I sold it to only had it a year and he sold it. That 396 is by far the worst Charger hull made.

Mine is holding up well. Couple blemishes. Couple stress cracks in the gel coat. My main gripe is the amount of flex I get in the top cap near the transom in choppy water. Charger has looked at it and says it’s ok. But I’ve never seen a that much flex in a top cap in any boat. Still rides like a dream
