Solix 15 G2 Update

My Solix G2 current software is 3.42. I tried updating the unit to 3.64. Under the support information from Humminbird it states that the update will not be successful unless you download 3.50 before and you will have access to 3.50 once the 3.64 is downloaded/ unzipped.
I thought that I could download all updates from the zip file plus the 3.50 at one time to my SD card but evidently that doesn't work because my unit software still shows as 3.42. Can someone tell me the correct procedure I need to apply to make this successful.

Did you tell the unit to install 3.500 first?

Wayne, I guess not. How would I do that. Should that be the first down load on the SD card.

There are THREE unit software versions in the zip folder, the first three files listed. If you are confused, do not put all of the files on memory card. ONLY copy the 3.500 software to a memory card and install that.
After that is completely finished, delete that file and put 3.640 on the card and install that.
