    2018 vs 2020

Did Mercury make any change to the 250 proxs 4 stroke from the first ones in 2018 vs 2020? Assume you have 1 still in crate from 2018, any second thoughts?

Will a level 1 Merc monitor work the same on the 4 strokes as it did on the Optimax?

I'm sure the experts will jump in and add to this, but the only 2 things I know of are:
    1) early engines thru about June/July of 2019 had a 3 hole water pick-up in lower unit. Later models went to 5 hole to make ear muff/garden hose process slightly easier
    2) top water filter on very early units required a 5/16" socket. Newer one is unscrewable by hand without tools.

Those are the biggest differences- and of course a Level-1 MercMonitor will work with these engines (it should be reset to Factory Defaults before connection).

Water Pressure sensor is an optional accessory (sensor kit required). Optional method for BOTH analog and digital Water Pressure is shown in the FAQ.

Keep in mind that Mercury DOES NOT use "years". Hence, "2018 and 2020" don't really mean anything. Engines are identified by Serial Number (which is why we require the serial number in the forums).
