Mississippi Pot Roast...
This is cheap and easy. Just the way I like it.
4-5# chuck roast
1 packet of ranch dressing mix
1 packet of au jus mix
4-5 tbsp of butter sliced into squares
5-6-7 pepperoncinis sliced
Put the meat into a crockpot. Dump on the mixes. Put the butter on and then spread the peppers over it. Cook for however long it takes. Serve it over rice, potato, or noodles. I used brown jasmine rice.
No need to brown the beef or add any liquid. I did mince half an onion and pour in a bit of the pepper juice. Also added a few more peppers because I love the things.
Edit....If you don’t have the au jus mix, put in a tbsp of worshesterchestershire sauce and a clove of garlic into the mix.

That's good stuff right there!! Serve ours on a good hoagie style bun with juices poured over the meat, a little messy but very tasty.
I BELIEVE!!!!

Ya, I Live on Rainy Lake!
Wife made some this week, exceptionally good. I suggested that meat would be good on a pizza

Man, you have very good taste! Every recipe you Post is excellent. I do this recipe often except I add some of the pepperoncini juice in it too though!

I'm going to try this on my smoker tomorrow or this weekend!

A: I add a few ounces of the juice also. It kicks it up a notch.
B: Next one is going on the egg! I’m thinking the smoky flavor would be amazing. Post up how it worked. Temp and time. My 35 YO crock pot only has High and Low.

It is also great with chicken. We do 2 boneless breast along with 4 boneless thighs for a good white and dark meat ratio. We buy the pre-sliced pepperoncinis add half the jar with the juice and 1/2" cup of chicken broth in the instant pot and dinner is done in no time.
