I love this comment...……...what he's saying all you rednecks that can't spell as well as him, you don't have an opinion, wow. I am so happy to see on this thread that most people are proud americans that know the difference between socialism and capitalism. The meaning of the second amendment, the correct name of an AR-15, and the difference between a full auto M4 and a AR-15, and the meaning of an assault rifle or weapon. The weapon that's pointed at me is the assault weapon. Teachers have been filling our children's minds with useless crap for years, heads full of mush to quote Rush. Socialism does not or ever will work, because whomever you are the natural instinct is to have more of everything, that creates competition to be better, better at your job, a better parent, a better bass fisherman etc. ….Hopi ta heel I speelet everythin rite

What I can say about socialism is I'm way past ready to give up my free subscription, like socialism I did not ask for.
Also there are no assault rifles, if you believe that you are not support the 2nd amendment.
Socialism never has and never will work for anybody who isn't already at the top. Because those at the top control every aspect of your life thus you having no freedoms at all. Go live somewhere there is socialism for a couple years come back and then wave your flag.

I think anyone that is advocating socialism should at least live in a country that is socialist first. Kinda try it on for size.

I'm doing it and thus I'm in a better position than the OP to opine which is best. OP should move to a socialist country for a year or two and then get back to us.

Wow! First off "assault rifle" is a made up generalization. It's not defined. Do some research before you spew someone else's jargon. Second, socialism works so well for everyone else. They have so much... Remember, this country's fore fathers were a whole bunch smarter than you as well.

Since you're so against people owning some semi automatic rifles, I'll bet you would have a cow if I showed up at the range and ran a 100 round belt through this post 86 dealer sample FN 249 or maybe his big brother 240B in 7.62 NATO.

There's another flaw in your logic. "Assault rifles" (made up term) aren't made for killing people. Less than 1% of all gun related deaths are from "assault rifles". An AR-15 (the media's devil of an assault rifle) is not a machine gun. The first machine gun was invented in 1718. The Puckle gun. Although not a machine gun by today's standards it was at the time. As you know the constitution was signed in 1776. Please stop taking what the media spews as facts and repeating it. Sometimes the best place for truth is the opposing side. Once you've educated yourself then you can form an opinion with knowledge to back up your opinions. It's just a much better route to take.

As for your comments on the Second Amendment, who gets to arbitrarily decide what types of firearms are permissible "within reason" and which are not? Both weapons you describe are semi-automatic and the only way to legally own an automatic weapon, suppresor, etc., is by the securing of a tax stamp through the ATF. Also, statistically, handguns are used far more routinely in the commission of violent crimes than "assault rifles" (that is a fact you can research yourself via FBI crime stats). As for your reference to the founding fathers, they were fully aware of what they were doing when they drafted the Second Amendment. You can open the Federalist Papers and a thorough reading will quickly clear this matter up. Further, no one in this country is dying from not having any toilet paper, and last I checked we have a major problem with obesity, which is in direct contradiction to starvation. In fact, many of these "underlying conditions" that everyone is so concerned about with this virus are due to issues directly related to obesity. It appears by your statements that you are of the belief that under a socialist government, that when an individual runs out of a product or has a need, that the government just steps in and provides said need or product. The good folks of Venezuela had the same thoughts and were promised these very things when they initially elected Hugo Chavez as president...now they are competing against each other for dogs in the streets to kill as food because they are starving to death. And, that fantastic socialist government they wanted confiscated all private weapons, because the government was going to protect all the people. Now, the very government they wanted has consolidated power, they rule the citizenry, and are broke, (even though they have some of the largest oil reserves in the world) ...well, except for the socialist elite class who now have all the wealth and power, while everyone else starves and struggles to survive. And again,
the citizens forfeited their arms to the government, so they have no means of defending themselves or their rights. In conclusion, asking for help is not a form of socialiam, that's just asking for help. Socialism entails things TAKEN from the entity that produces them and being redistributed to those that did not. I could go on about this all night, but I have to get up and go to work tomorrow. I am LE and when I'm out working the streets tomorrow, I will be far more concerned in running into a bad guy with a handgun than one with an AR...those handguns are hard to spot sometimes, but those assault rifles...not so much...

Someone much wiser than myself said " You can vote your way into socialism, but you have to shoot your way out." Never surrender your liberty for the false sense of security wrapped up in a bow and marketed as socialism.

FIFY. I wholeheartedly agree with what you are
saying. Declaration was 1776, Constitution was 1787.

Dude you're not in the epicenter. The epicenter is NYC where they have refrigerator trucks loaded with bodies.

You can find what you need. You just need to shop around a bit and you'll find it.

I have TP, got a case of it at Walmart. Canned goods were scarce for a while but the shelves are filling back up.

Are the supermarkets back to normal yet, no. You just need to adjust like the rest of us have.

Every day it becomes more evident that our public school system has failed to educate. I'm just not sure if its a deliberate failure or not. Cause clearly people do not know the meaning of socialism. They also don't understand the difference between capitalism and crony capitalism. It amazes me that people still think socialism is a good thing when we have so many examples of it's failure, and yet have so examples of capitalism's successes.
