Paint/clearcoat
The clear coat is starting to peel off of my 08 ram truck. What can I expect to pay ( ballpark) to get this fixed. No body damage just the clear coat is coming off. Mainly on the top and edges around the bed. Thanks

As an automotive painter, there’s still going to labor to take things apart etc, an prep work, roughly 45$ an hour usually. Prolly in the 2500-5000$ range depending what all actually needs painted an what the shop runs into while working on the vehicle. There’s always maaco. They’ll scuff it an shoot it for around a 1000$ total probly. It would look better, wont last long tho if you don’t take care of their cheaper paint. It will break down. Or if you know someone that is able to do it maybe as a side job you could get it done cheaper, a small reputable body shop would be best for that type of job. A lot of them are looking for work right now too. An you could always suggest using a cheaper paint to keep cost down.

I would suggest a single stage repaint in urethane paint , no clear .
