bottom has wavy appearance on side scan
Sorry no Image, will try to describe . What causes the bottom on both sides of side scan to look wavy, they are equal spaced apart.
Sometimes with lateral rocking in chop I believe its due to the beam moving up and down.
Other times when calm and on the shore side I believe its due to bottom changes from wave action
Other times when on both sides have not a clue.. but the spacing is equal, what accounts for that??
