    x24 fuel gauge working half the time

    any suggestions look under dash and found a yellow wire nut hooked up help would be appreciated thanks bob

    First thing I would do is look for a lose wire .Ground maybe. If it works sometimes it is not broke just not tight.

    Id look at the wire nut area and fix that. You have at least one too many wire nuts in there if there was one. Sometimes the sending units get beat up pretty bad and have dead spots. Disconnect the wires and remove the sending unit. Put a meter set on ohms right where the wires were hooked up and it should read zero to 240ohms as you move it from empty to full manually. This way you can see if its the gauge/wiring or sending unit. If that checks out hook the wires back up and with some assistance do the same test with the wires disconnected from the gauge to verify the wiring and sensor. Then check key on power on the back of the gauge. If all this passes your gauge is bad

    THANKS FOR HELP I FOUND THAT THE HOR WIRE NUT CAME LOOSE IT A DONE DEAL
