Praying Older Evinrude water intake screen

Good morning! I have a 1984 Evinrude 60 E60TLCRE. I've pulled the lower unit for water pump replacement and found noticed the plastic water intake screen was breaking. I've tried to find a replacement but every source I go to says the part is unavailable. I've attached a screen shot of the part from the Boats.net diagram. Part # is 0320042. Does anybody possibly know of a source for one of these, or what a suitable replacement part might be? Thanks!!

    Thanks ChampioNman
Life happens, finally got around to getting back to working on this. The part did not fit, so I'm out the cash, oh well. What other options do I have?? What's the risk of running without the intake screen?

If you don't run in weed laden lakes you should be OK. How bad is your intake screen? Maybe take some window screen and form it around the assembly and re-install it? It isn't stocked at any location nation wide. You can try ebay/amazon.

The screen part of the filter was extremely brittle and pretty much broke all out when I pulled it out of the LU. The frame is still intact. Was thinking of getting some sort of marine epoxy/JB weld and some stainless screen and and installing that in the frame. Would window screen work just as well?

Worth a shot. You have nothing to lose. BTW, no refunds.

make sure the metal screen's holes are large enough. I don't think
something like window screen would let enough water in.

Ended up with some aluminum filter screen from McMaster-Carr that has roughly the same dimensions as the original. Gonna try to form it into the existing frame and see what happens. If that doesn't work, I'll try the 1/8 stainless.

Here's what I did. Just need to add a bit of epoxy to anchor it down, should be good to go. Appreciate all the input gents!!
