45 or 52 ultrex skeeter zx 190
I recently purchased and began mounting a ultrex 80 lb 52 inch shaft on my skeeter Zx 190 once i got the boat cover on I found out it didn’t fit great almost exposing the gunwales . I’m considering returning the 52 and getting the 45 inch shaft. I do fish Lake Erie quite a bit which is why I opted for the 52 but the cover not fitting properly is concerning and if I do return it I want to get it done ASAP. Any advice would be appreciated.

Take cover to an upholstery shop and have them sew a piece on.

There might not be any way to get the cover to fit over a 52” but...I have a 45” on my Ranger 518 and I was able to get the cover on by turning the TM so the prop was to the outside. The shaft isn’t centered in the head so it takes up less room with the motor turned around. It helps to lower the shaft as low as it will go on the bracket. I only do this for covering the boat because I like the prop to be to stbd usually.
