    Falls Lake trip?

With all the ramps in New Hanover County closed, including Sutton Lake, I'm having withdrawal pains. I've been thinking about heading to Falls, practicing safe coronavirus behaviors, and scratching the fishing itch.

If I go to Upper Barton's boat ramp, what can I expect in way of crowds and parking spots? Best time to launch and/or other ramps I should consider?

Appreciate any help you can provide.

I agree. Barton will be very crowded especially with most the ramps at Jordan shut down.

If you can't make Falls go to Kerr , the fish are in the bushes and are munching real good.

Went to Falls again today. Got there about 7am and about 10 boats had put in or were putting in. Did not see much traffic on the water to speak of where i was fishing but decided to leave early so i could rest up for the down east trip tomorrow. Got back to ramp at 1:45 and it was 1 hour latter before i got in the truck to pull the boat out of the water. It was a zoo. Watched 7 pontoons/music boats put in loaded to the max and i think the virus is gone. Saw 12 get on one pontoon before it left the ramp. Probably will let it rest a while.

It was the craziest thing i have seen at a Falls lake ramp. Saw quite a few who have never backed anything in their life. Saw some that were really, really good with them giant boats. Seen a lot that have not seen the sun in years. Ever seen a 40 year old man with nothing but a dang thong on at a boat ramp? Saw one get in a boat with one that was dressed the same way. Like i said, it was crazy!!!

I would not go to Bartons. Ledge should be doable though. This weekend will probably be cool enough to keep the fair weather folks away.

I would try the ramp beside hwy 50 bridge. Might have to pay $10 but should not be crowed.

I would think hwy 50 ramp is closed since it is a state park.
