    Nema 2000 on 2019 g2 150

    Good evening
I just purchased a Garmin 93sv and a nema 2000 kit with two drop cords a power cord two t's and to terminators. The kit also comes with a power wire. My question is, when I had the boat in the shop I saw the tech hook his laptop up to the t connector located in the front panel, turn the ignition on and access the computer on engine to see various information. If i use this kit to hook up the 93sv I probably only need the drop cable as I assume the backbone Is already on the motor and the power wire from the kit is not needed?

The G2 engines require a NMEA2000 backbone in the boat to operate, so one is already installed

Thank you. I spoke with mechanic today he set me straight. I ordered some stuff I dont need so i am just going to give it to him. Said he wanted to hook it up for me. Said folks doing it on their own he sees come in the shop have 10 blown fuses and melted wire
