Looks like Honey Creek State Park ramp at Grand. That's a steep one. I launched there with my club the first time we went there in '87. I had a half ton Ford with the 300 straight six, stick shift with 4th gear as overdrive, and a rear end about 2.78 gear ratio for "fuel economy" and had to be towed back up the ramp by a fellow club member. Had that happen at another ramp and had a local shop put 3.73 gears in to cure the problem. Actually gained 1 mpg because I could actually use 4th gear in fairly hilly country instead of having to shift down to 3rd on most hills.
I guess he unhooked it from that truck facing downhill? How the heck do you not chock the tires if you are going to unhitch on a hill and if he did unhitch it right there...why?

I have a nephew who launched dad's brand new mastercraft…….. and brand new ford pickup into 30 feet of water on Lanier several years ago. backed down and got out to take straps off the boat , apperantly leaving truck in neutral...…. said he could see the headlights shinning up at him !!

Hit my roller too hard loading up, my ranger truck started skipping down the ramp and into the water. Thank God it was a private ramp, but I was a laughingstock in town. I was in the fire department and the chief had a tire and towing business.
