    Temp drop for Friday

Hoping to get out early Friday morning on Gaston. Just looked at weather and it looks like it will go from mid 70's on Thursday to 50's on Friday.

How will that affect fish, if at all? Should I be thinking of doing something specific because of this?

    Still learning, Thanks.

Should not bother them to much. Some may pull out a little. I you want lots of fish shallow tapering points with a jerkbait. I am heading to gaston today. Will be there until sunday. Let me know if you are definitely going.

Yea we fished down the pea hill area. We caught probably 30 fish but most were small. Did catch a good spot at about 3lbs and a lm about 3. We also caught about 5-8 stripers.

Got out for a couple hours Fri/Sat mornings. Wind Friday was horrible. Did not see a single other boat on water. Found a cove protected from the wind. Fished that cove the best if could. Caught 6. 2 shorts, 2 1-1.5lb, 1 at 2.5 lbs and a solid 4lber! Lost 2 fish. One grabbed spinner bait right at the boat. Tried to just flip him in but as I was doing it I noticed he only had trailer in his mouth. He flopped off gunnel and all I could do was laugh. Broke one off, my fault. Did not retire 6lb test for wacky warm after being little rough with 2.5lber.
When I left that cove lake was crazy so just headed in.

Saturday I dish few points, nothing. Worked my way into one cove and caught 3. Biggest was 2lbs. Lost few more that day too.

Had a great time. Only fished 3 hours or so each day.

Everything caught on Yum singer, spinnerbait or Sexy Dog.

Nice, sounds like a descent time. Good report, another reason for me to try and get to Gaston this year.

Where did you put in for access?
